I know I’ve promissed to write more about Buenos Aires, but the thing is that I’m currently in The Netherlands. I will go back to Buenos Aires in November, and then there will come a lot more story’s daily on this website.

Lawmakers rejected the government-backed bill 37 votes to 36 in a marathon session that ended early Thursday.

The lower house approved the tax hikes earlier this month and the Senate’s approval was the last obstacle for ratification. It is unclear what steps the executive will take now.

President Cristina Fernandez decreed a more than 10 percent sliding-scale increase in export taxes on soy and other grains in March.

Farmers launched strikes and road blocks to protest the measure, forcing the president to agree to submit the tax package to a vote in congress.

I’m happy to annouce that I have written a song about Buenos Aires. This song is for all the Argentinean people who suffered from the break down of the economy in 2001.

I still love to write about the city that I love, it has been a while that I did not write an intresting story but there is more to come. The last months I was bussy with singing and posting videos on youtube.

In a rather visibly happy climate warmer than in their distant Holland the Princes and their three daughters, Amalia, Alexia and Arianne, have been portrayed in the gardens of the residence of the Dutch ambassador in Buenos Aires in the occasion of their visit to Argentina, native country of princess Maxima. The couple was very happy to be in Argentina. “The last time that we were here was along with my mother-in-law, in visit of Estadó, explained the Princess”.

Very summery Christmases shining a summery dress of orange, the Princess played during minutes with her daughters. Her high heels did not prevent her to improvise some small closing to a ball that was in the garden.

 Princess Maxima is taking advantage of her stay to visit all her relatives and friends and to whom she presents/displays proud to be the benjamina of the family , as well as to make some purchases in the commercial centers specially scenery with Christmas reasons. On the other hand, the prince of Orange: Willem Alexander also took advantage of a conference that pronounced Maxima in the same Embassy of Buenos Aires to try to speak a little of Spanish. Nevertheless, he was only able to pronounce few words, although he did it with a great smile. In search of tranquility they congregated a great number of journalists there, since the visit has centered the present time of the American country. The Princess, as a result of the media tic pursuit, requested respect to mass media.

‘We want to have our moments of privacy’, protested. And added with its customary smile: ‘ For us it is very valuable to be able to have a little time while it last with our families, to be single and to enjoy Argentina.

A gaucho is also known as someone with Spanish blood, romanticized for South American and similar to the word and usage of cowboys for the North American.These days it is still used in the Argentinean language, and it is still used mostly in Argentina. We still have gauchos, and even more then that we have the modern gaucho. The modern gaucho we can describe as a girl ore boy in Argentina’s Buenos Aires, who has a sense of flavor, style, and most of all love for their own country! This is a person, who totally adores Buenos Aires and knows everything about it, loves to tell stories: cuenta me un cuento!A modern gaucho shops at Ona Saez, drinks a cappuccino in Abasto Shopping hall, goes to La Boca to wonder around and goes to his favorite party’s that Buenos Aires is rich of. In a world of modern gauchos, there is the atmosphere, where friendliness, politeness, tolerance, disorder and mess exist side by side. Openness, sincerity, warm, combined with the great cultural heredity and the triumph of life.One of my friends who is born in Buenos Aires told me something new.Duncan you’re a real modern gaucho!

Members of a gang who try to traffic 15 kilo of cocaine that they had hidden in Christmas cards, where arrested last weekend in Argentina.

This is what the police stated last Thursday in Buenos Aires the city that never sleeps.

The master plan was to send out cocaine Christmas wishes  to Europe and Australia. They wanted to make sure that everyone would have a “white”Christmas.

Celebrating Christmas with her family is something that most Argentineans do and the weather in The Netherlands is very bad these days.
To be back in Argentina gives Maxima a lot of joy, this is the country where Maxima grew up as a kid. They had a special photo shoot last Saturday in Buenos Aires with their own family to give them rest from the press.

 The 400th anniversary about the founding of the city led to building this monument in May 1936.
It is located at Nueve de Julio (the widest road of the world) and this is in the center of the Plaza de la Republica.
Its total height is 67 meters (220 feet) and its base area is 49 square meters (530 square feet). It was designed by architect Alberto Prebisch and its construction took barely four weeks.

During the international AIDS day they put A 67 m long condom on the Obelisco
Lines Line B, Line C, and Line D of the Buenos Aires Metro have stations near the obelisk, and are connected by a number of underground passages with commercial galleries.

In the Paris of South America in Buenos Aires you have MC Donald’s,
this one is very special because when the end of the week “fin de semana”
starts this is the meeting area for the fashionable gay scene.
This Mc Donald’s doesn’t look different at all, for someone who is not looking clear enough, they can’t see it, but for the ones who can, I can tell ya that you can see all sorts of guys that are gay.
You can find here the hysterical gay guy who loves to be a entertainer in life up to the tuff guy with muscles.
In the Mac Café you can see couples that are enjoying their cappuccino while they are flirting with each other.
Outside this Mc Donalds is known by the people as “Mc Gay”.

In the evening when youre outside you can see some young guys trying to make a living as a prostitute called “Taxi boys”.
The interesting thing is that the Mac Donald’s doesn’t know that this place is a favorite pickup place for the fashionable gay scene.

Like Justin Timberlake says in the commercial of Mc Donald’s: I’m Loving it!

Buenos Aires is a big city and there are a lot of activity’s to do.
My to do note was to go to a nice swimming pool because I really love to swim,
sometimes it’s so warm that you need some water around you.
If you want to go to the beach you have to travel a big distance and if you don’t have that time, I can recommend you a great place to go, and it’s funny to.
Walking through Palermo while taking all kinds of short cuts I arrived at Parque Manuel Belgrano.
This place has a very big swimming pool and it is cheap to go to, you pay 3 pesos and you’re in, but first things first you have to shower and after that you have to do a medical test.
I was wondering what this would be while I was standing under the cold shower and laughing with my friends they told me to go in the room where I was expected to do this so called test.
In front of me there was a woman in a white outfit asking me in Spanish to put my feet up on the chair and show my tows while she was examining this.You must pass the medical examination to enter the pool area where they check for lice and athlete’s foot. The medical thing was a funny thing to do, nothing much really.
After this test your declared healthy for 2 weeks, this was for me a funny thing.
When I was walking through the swimming pool area there was live music with a DJ playing club music. It was really nice to see people in the pool dancing like there lives were depending on it.
Everybody was so joyful, some people where lying on their towel in the grass talking and relaxing in the sun.
This swimming pool is very big and I had a lot of fun going there.
